Appearance
Build: Waifish, tiny, compact.
Hair: Golden & curly, down to her shoulders.
Eyes: Big blue doe-eyes with long lashes. They look like they belong to a doll.
Clothing: Mercy likes to wear her bloomers (she has all kinds of pairs in all kinds of colors) as trousers, much to the general shock of the public. She usually wears her favorite waist-cincher (black leather, with a small compartment for her pocket watch & a little chain across her stomach to keep it there), along with a lacy high-collared blouse in white with pearl buttons all down the back. She always carries a black parasol to keep the sunshine away.
Identifying Marks: She has a tattoo of an anatomically-correct heart on the inside of her arm.
Overall Appearance: She looks like the sweetest thing you ever did see, with rosy cheeks & a cupid’s-bow mouth. Her fangs are still itty-bitty, but enough to pierce a throat after some hard gnawing. When she hasn’t eaten for a while, however, she begins to look sickly & old, & her hair & eyes lose their luster. Her tattoo bursts with color after she’s had a good meal.

Personality
Likes: Drinking, fighting, spitting contests, the lute, daisy crowns.
Dislikes: Shoes, cats, baths, boring people, doctors.
Fears: Sunlight, water, fire, angry mobs.
Goals: Creating as much chaos as she can.
Self Esteem Level: High.
Skills/Strengths: Some of her vampire-type powers: she plays a pretty mean lute, which can have a hypnotic affect, what with her being a vampire. She has certain songs to lull humans to sleep or to distract them. She is immortal & heals unnaturally fast.
She is also a decent contortionist.
Weaknesses: All of the old vampire folklore things. She can’t cross over moving water. Sunlight burns her. She must be invited into a place before she can enter. She has a manic need to count things sometimes. Silver, fire, & crosses freak her out, as touching them hurts her.
Overall Personality: She’s very impish. She loves playing mean pranks on people, & she’s always running about & juggling or showing off to make people laugh. She loves attention, & is very physically affectionate (she’ll snuggle almost anyone). But she has a sadistic streak, hurting people badly through what she considers harmless pranks. People may die in her pranks, but that never keeps her from laughing.
The only time she doesn't laugh is when she's angry. She will become quiet, methodical, & calculate a way to get revenge tenfold.
Background
Parents/Guardians: Molly & Patrick Shelley, deceased.
Siblings: None.
Significant Other: None.
Place of birth: London.
History: Once a sullen & willful child, Mercy never liked taking directions from her strict & smothering parents. They never allowed her to go out after dark, as the mean streets of London may corrupt their sweet little daughter. Of course, the one night she sneaks out of her bedroom window, she runs to the nearest tavern to gamble & drink with all of the men. One takes a special interest to her, inviting her to a more intimate bar where they might talk awhile. Long story short, he was a vampire & transformed her shortly before the men from the bar came to her rescue. She managed to hide her wound by buttoning up her collar, so they would not decapitate her as they did her new friend.
She tried her best to assimilate back into human culture, she really did. But she had powers now, incredible ones, & began to abuse them for her own amusement. She began confusing & controlling her parents, culminating in a prank that caught their modest cottage aflame & killing them both. Mercy didn’t care much; in her mind it was like killing cockroaches. The town had different thoughts, seeing her as dangerously insane. Away she ran, joined a travelling vaudeville & circus act, the Ace of Hearts Circus, as a contortionist briefly; they knew what she was, but embraced her anyway, & gave her a tattoo of their circus’ emblem. She cast off her old name of “Shelley” & gave herself a new surname, her new circus name being “Queen Maeve” after Shakespeare’s retelling of Maeve as queen of the fairies. This gave her security, as they would move every few days so the towns would never catch her for murdering random people to feed. It began to get out of hand as she grew older & her bloodlust grew stronger. The ringleader of the circus banished her for sucking the life out of all of his rare peacocks. Finally the police caught up with her trail of murder & sent her to the asylum labeling her a serial killer.
Transforming into a vampire never did bother her, as she awoke a sociopathic streak in her after the accidental murder of her parents.
Because of her odd behavior due to her being a vampire (avoiding sunlight, a preoccupation with counting), she has been labeled OCD.
