Calw groaned as he waved the flashlight around, the echo of the rian pelting outside sounded through the hallways of the hospital. Calw hated a lot of things, but two things he hated most was being deprived of sleep, and the other being when the inmates wouldn't follow the rules. "Any leads?" he whispered into a walkie-talkie on his shoulder. "Not yet. All we;ve learned is that she go out through the cell gate. The guard must have left it unlocked." Calw didn't respond. "Where are you, little princess?" he cooed.

Like a shadow, she slipped silently through the hallways, clinging along the walls as the darkness seemed to follow her and cloud around her slender body, thick and sticky, almost obscuring her form from view. She knew that it was long after "lights out" and she would likely get in trouble if found wandering about, but that was part of the fun. Perhaps the punishment would be extreme, but that was all right. Sometimes torture was a better option than boredom... and were the two things really so different when boredom meant she was left alone, idle with her own maddening thoughts? She couldn't stand being stuck in her room a minute longer, and she wouldn't dare venture out during the daylight hours when she would have to endure the company of others.
"Naughty, naughty, Keket. Go back to bed. Go sleep like a good girl," a voice in the back of her head nagged, but she dismissed it with a hushed and hissed, "Shut up!", breaking her silence. How she hated asylums! This was her second time inside of one. It was ironic that she never for a moment thought herself insane until after her first admittance to an asylum. And already she felt the madness encroaching upon her like a sickness. The sterile environment, the "treatments," the feeling of constantly being watched, being surrounded by lunatics, and worst of all, her freedom taken away... how she hated it all! She didn't doubt that she could escape... but what was the point? Where would she go? She had no home, no family, no friends, no hobbies, and no desire for any of those things. For now... she would stay here and see what havoc she could wreak.
The succubus was about to round a corner when she heard a man's whispered voice right around the corner and she froze in her tracks, stiffening. Her dark blue eyes narrowed as she listened to the exchange between him and a man speaking through a radio. So they had found out she was missing and searching for her already. She had every intention of remaining silent until she heard the man's last remark. The corners of her crimson lips curled into a faint though satisfied smirk.
It was a bold move, perhaps stupidly bold, but someone who was not frightened of death and already considered her life a living hell feared very few things. She disliked authority, and she was going to make sure straight from the beginning that the orderlies and the doctors and, hell, even the warden himself knew that. "I am right here," she called out softly though calmly, her voice velvety smooth and low. She stepped around the corner, at first a mere silhouette until the shadows dispersed, making her form visible. Her full lips spread into a smug smile, though it did not reach her eyes. "I presume you are a knight in shining armor come to rescue me?" she asked sardonically.

Calw chuckled when the woman stepped out into the beam of his flash light and grinned. "What a good girl, you are. Now..." he held his open hand out, "...let's get you back to your cell. You need your rest!" He began to walk forward. "We'll make this all right in the morning...."

Shade tilted her head to the side as she regarded the man in front of her curiously, her gaze scanning him over hungrily, sizing him up. For a moment, her dark eyes lingered on the strange crosses carved into his forehead. She thought he looked more like an inmate than faculty. She studied his outstretched hand warily. As he advanced, she cautiously retreated a step, like an animal about to go into a fight or flight reaction, though her smirk only faltered for the shortest of seconds. "I do not think so. That would not be much fun, now would it? I did not leave just to turn around and go back."

Calw began to advance faster. "Please, let's not make this difficult. I don't want this to take all night and I'm sure you don't want your punishment to be drastic. If you come quietly now I promise you'll only get a slap on the wrist." He said, keeping his grin. The truth was, he honestly had no intention of keeping his word. He was out late trying to catch as escapist. He would make sure to have as much fun with this girl as he could.

Shade continued to pace backwards, though her amused expression turned not frightened, but fierce. She scowled, her ebony eyes narrowing. "Sorry, but difficult is just my style." She allowed the illusion of her human appearance to drop. Two bat-like wings protruded from her back, though the leathery appendages looked too small to actually provide her with flight. A pair of curled ram's horns grew from behind her temples. A long, slender, spade-tipped tail swayed behind her in a slightly agitated manner. "You see, I do not desire any sort of punishment. But it might as well be 'go big or go home,' right?"

Calw just began to chuckle. "Just try to run, witch! You won't be leaving here even if you are a monster!" he sneered. he picked up his walkie-talkie. "Attention everyone! This is Calw. The escapy is Shade. Be on the look out for her as well as any humanoid figure with horns and/or wings. Over and out!" Calw began to charge at her, a tantalizer tucked under his coat.
